In 1971 Peter Priestley established an architectural practice in North Sydney with fellow Directors John Delohery and Fred Nolan. The firm was known as Peter Priestley Associates, which was subsequently shortened to Priestleys Architects. Upon the retirement of Peter and Fred in 1978, John continued the practice with Michael Barlow, who had joined the practice in 1975. With John and Michael as Directors, the company has continued to provide architectural services up to the
present time. In 2008, Russell Bramley joined the company as a Director after working with both John & Michael for many years.
The firm’s experience includes hospital and medical facilities, secondary and tertiary educational projects, early learning centres, funeral buildings and crematoria, commercial and industrial premises, residential developments and heritage building projects.
Priestleys Architects provides a full range of architectural services, including measured drawings of existing buildings, preliminary feasibility studies, sketch design, Development Application documents, Construction Certificate and contract documentation, contract administration and post occupancy evaluations.
